Job Description

A full time Production Manager who has experience working with private label accounts, for big box retailers, is needed for a well known apparel manufacturer based in Downtown LA. This role is onsite 5 days.

Daily Duties:

• Oversee production coordinators daily communication with factories and cross functional partners
• Create Garment POs (for Private Label)
• Follow up on PP samples (for Private Label)
• Check samples for quality, color, components, labels, hangers/sizers before handing over to SVP of Technical Design (for Private Label)
• Follow up on TOP samples at 10% of production. (for Private Label)
• Check TOP samples for quality, color, components, labels, hangers/sizers before handing over to SVP of Technical Design (for Private Label)
• Receive, review and comment on private label submits after reviewing with Sales/Design
• Prepare submits and send to customers | Follow up on comments
• Follow up on Salesman samples, Dot Com samples or special request samples (for Private Label)
• Maintain T & A for submits listed above (for Private Label)
• Update/maintain WIP for submits listed above (for Private Label)
• Review WIPs for all factories in a weekly production meeting. Work to resolve urgent or pending matters affecting deliverables
• Keep filing cabinets up to date and archive shipped orders as needed
• Maintain costing chart with all details and negotiated costs/deliveries, sending final margins out for approval
• Print and review weekly shipping report to ensure all shipping is on time and documentation has been received in a timely manner
• Various system reporting related to PO maintenance
• Review and approve ALL production tech packs before sent to factories
• Issue production related charge backs
• Oversee quality issues
• Write and enforce SOP’s with import vendors
