Type: Looking for a full-time or part-time (at least 3 days per week) PR intern to work in office

Location: Tampa, FL

Start date: ASAP

Compensation: $60 PER day + class credit (if applicable), out of pocket expenses are paid

NOT REMOTE, MUST BE IN TAMPA AREA

Overview: 

As a full-service marketing and public relations agency, AMP offers a wide range of services including brand marketing, public relations, social media, design, sports marketing, activation, event management and product sampling. We are dedicated to delivering exceptional results for our clients and providing strategic PR solutions that generate buzz and drive business growth. As a Public Relations Intern at AMP, you will play a key role in helping implement PR campaigns for our clients. You will work closely with the Public Relations Specialist and assist in supporting and executing our clients' campaigns. This internship provides an excellent opportunity to develop your skills, gain real-world experience and contribute to the success of our PR campaigns. You will assist with media relations, content creation, video editing, event planning and more.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct research to identify media outlets, journalists and industry trends
• Monitor and track media coverage, compiling media reports and coverage recaps
• Assist in drafting and editing press releases, media alerts and other PR materials
• Help manage and update media contact lists
• Support the planning and execution of events
• Assist in capturing content – photos and video/b-roll – at events to pitch to media
• Assist with administrative tasks as needed

Qualifications:

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, Marketing or a related field
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to multitask and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
• Enthusiastic, proactive and eager to learn
• Previous internship or related experience in PR, communications or marketing is a plus
• Must have full-time access to own car 
• Must have own laptop to bring to the office 
• Must be at least a junior in college to apply
