Job Description

Real Estate Associate (Transactional) – Century City, CA

(3-7 years’ experience) - Base salary: $200,000 – $275,000 (excluding bonus / additional compensation)

Are you ready to elevate your real estate practice at a firm where you’ll work on high-stakes, sophisticated deals from day one? We’re recruiting on behalf of a leading Los Angeles–based law firm seeking a talented Associate to join their Century City office.

Why consider joining them?

  • A boutique / midsize-firm setting (+- 100 Attorneys) that offers the best of both worlds — the visibility and impact of reacting to top-tier transactions, and the collaborative, hands-on environment of a tightly-knit team.
  • A workplace consistently recognized for legal excellence: ranked in the Chambers USA Guide , multiple attorneys featured in Benchmark Litigation rankings, named among LA Times’ Top Litigation Firms & other regional honors.
  • Strong culture of mentorship, professional growth and business development support: associates are paired with both partner and peer mentors, and given the opportunity to develop client-facing skills alongside senior leadership.
  • Meaningful, high-impact work: clients include sophisticated developers, institutional investors, and large corporate users. Deal sizes and complexity are substantial, giving you exposure to real estate finance, joint ventures, leasing, acquisitions/dispositions, and development matters.
  • Clear pathway to partnership in a merit-based environment — performance, client relationship skills, and contribution to firm growth are rewarded.
  • Competitive compensation, plus performance-based bonus potential.

What you’ll do:

  • Lead drafting, negotiating, and closing commercial real estate purchase & sale agreements and leases
  • Conduct title/survey review, diligence, and coordinate closings
  • Handle client-facing responsibilities while collaborating with practice group leaders
  • Engage with real estate-industry bodies (e.g. ULI, NAIOP, CREFC or similar)
  • Work closely with senior attorneys on structuring sophisticated real estate transactions

The ideal candidate:

  • 3–7 years of substantive real estate experience (commercial acquisitions / dispositions / leasing)
  • Strong foundational knowledge of title, diligence, and closing logistics
  • Excellent writing, analytical, organizational & client-relationship skills
  • Self-starter mindset with ability to thrive both independently and in a teamwork-driven environment
  • JD & admitted to the California Bar
