Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented R&D Lab Support Specialist to join a globally recognized organization. This role involves preparing and testing samples for adhesive, tape/film products, and raw materials. The successful candidate will document test results, perform basic statistical analysis, and provide observations and conclusions.

This is slated as a 1-year contract with strong potential for extension/conversion.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare test samples for evaluation.
• Conduct mechanical and materials testing, including: tensile and shear strength tests, bond strength tests, mechanical properties tests, density and viscosity tests
• Evaluation of material-specific physical characteristics
• Accurately record test results and assist with data analysis.
• Manage data using various software systems, including Microsoft Excel.
• Work with live copies of shared files stored in network locations or Microsoft Teams.
• Participate in meetings with stakeholders to discuss findings and insights.
• Maintain general laboratory upkeep and manage supplies inventory.

Qualifications:

• Knowledge and experience with general lab practices.
• Familiarity with mechanical/materials testing methods.
• Ability to understand and follow complex procedures.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel (creating/modifying formulas and graphs).

Education and Experience:

• College degree in Chemistry, Engineering, or Physics (entry-level experience acceptable).
• OR 2+ years of laboratory experience with a High School Diploma or equivalent.
