RF Network Engineer (Job Stage 6)

Overview:
We're looking for a highly experienced Network Engineer with deep expertise in RF design, optimization, and system performance for multi-technology wireless networks. This role is ideal for someone with strong leadership experience across large-scale projects and a proven track record in both 4G and 5G environments.
Minimum Requirements:
- 10+ years of hands-on experience in radio network design, implementation, or optimization
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experience
- Led 5+ projects; at least two must involve full technical ownership over major metro or statewide deployments
- Strong communication and coordination skills with both internal teams and customer stakeholders
Technical Experience:
Technologies:
- 5G NR, Massive MIMO, mmWave, LAA, 4G LTE, IoT, CBRS
- Multi-vendor network environments
- Layer 3 messaging for both 4G and 5G
- Event analysis: accessibility, retainability, handover success rates
RF Design Skills:
- Tools: Planet EV, Atoll, ACP (Automatic Cell Planning)
- Link budget modeling and Monte Carlo analysis
- Site planning: new site creation, tilt/azimuth optimization
- Model tuning and add-on sales opportunity identification
Optimization & Tuning:
- Tools: TEMS Investigation, Actix, Agilent, R&S
- Strong grasp of Layer 3 messaging and IRAT procedures
- Analyzing drive test data and network KPIs
- Tuning loaded networks and differentiating real vs. artificial traffic
- Recommendations for feature activations and parameter changes
- Uplink tuning and capacity optimization
-Ericsson-Specific Knowledge:
- Proficient in ENM and internal optimization tools
- Familiarity with Ericsson RAN features and implementation/testing workflows
- Understanding of how adding carriers affects performance (e.g., 5G impact)
Additional Requirements:
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple stakeholder expectations
- Comfortable coordinating across departments and translating customer needs into action plans
- Willing and able to travel extensively within the U.S.
