Safety Manager
Position Overview The Safety Manager will be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing safety programs and policies to ensure a safe working environment on construction sites. The role involves assessing risks, conducting safety audits, and training employees on safety practices, particularly focusing on electrical safety protocols.
Key Responsibilities - Develop and implement safety policies and procedures in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Conduct regular safety audits and inspections of construction sites to identify hazards and ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Provide training and resources to employees on safety practices, including electrical safety and general construction safety protocols.
- Investigate accidents and incidents, analyzing causes and recommending corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.
- Collaborate with project managers and other stakeholders to promote a culture of safety within the organization.
- Stay updated on industry trends and changes in safety regulations to ensure compliance and best practices are followed.
Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Safety Manager in the construction industry, with a strong focus on electrical safety.
- Certification in safety management (e.g., CSP, CHST) is preferred.
- In-depth knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety standards applicable to construction and electrical work.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills to effectively train and motivate staff on safety practices.
