Onward Search is a specialized staffing and talent solutions company that helps professionals find top jobs with the nation’s leading brands. We’re looking to hire a Salesforce Developer for a Financial client .

This is a 12+ month contract opportunity. The role is located in Newark, DE, and is hybrid.

Onward Search is unable to support 1099 / Corp-to-Corp or Independent Contractor arrangements at this time. All contractors will be paid as W2 employees.

As a Salesforce Developer, you will enhance and manage our Salesforce solutions for agents and customers, built on Financial Services Cloud and Experience Cloud. Working within an agile team, you'll develop solutions that drive business objectives and customer value while exploring new Salesforce capabilities. This role reports to the Director of Engineering - Salesforce Development.

What You’ll Do

• Develop and enhance Salesforce solutions using Apex, Lightning Components (Aura & LWC), Visualforce, and declarative tools (Flow, Custom Metadata, etc.).
• Integrate third-party applications such as Amazon Connect and LiveVox.
• Troubleshoot and debug code while ensuring performance and quality.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs and deliver solutions.
• Manage deployments through Azure DevOps (ADO) pipelines.

Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 6+ years of development experience with a strong foundation in OOP.
• 4+ years of hands-on Salesforce development in mid-to-large enterprise environments.
• Proficiency in Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Web Components (Aura & LWC), and SOQL.
• Strong knowledge of Sales, Service, and Experience Clouds.
• Experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, SOAP & REST APIs.
• Familiarity with modern IDEs (VSCode, IntelliJ) and version control tools (Git, SVN).
• Experience with relational databases, SQL, and Agile methodologies.

Preferred:

• Experience with Salesforce unit and automated testing (JEST, Robot Framework).
• Familiarity with Salesforce Data Loader and CI/CD tools.
• Experience with Salesforce CLI (SFDX) and Python.
• Exposure to cloud platforms like Microsoft Azure or AWS.
• Salesforce certifications (Platform Developer I, App Builder, JavaScript Developer I, Administrator).
