Job Title: Full-Time Elementary School Social Worker

Location: Robbins, IL 60472

School Year: 2025-2026

Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:15 AM – 3:15 PM

Salary : $50,000 – $72,000 (Based on experience)

Position Overview

AnthroMed Education is seeking a passionate and proactive Elementary School Social Worker to join our team for the 2025-2026 school year. In this role, you will provide direct social work support to students, collaborate closely with school staff, and play an integral part in our school community. Your responsibilities will include managing a caseload of students with IEPs, offering additional support to students on 504 plans and those requiring mental health services, and leading group trauma-informed practices.

About the School

Our elementary school is a small, close-knit community of approximately 200 students in grades K-3, with two classrooms per grade. The school serves a diverse population—65% Latino and 35% African American—and is dedicated to fostering an inclusive, supportive learning environment for all students.

Key Responsibilities

Individual Support:

• Manage a caseload of approximately 6 students with IEPs, providing targeted social work interventions using the Easy IEP system.
• Offer support to additional students on 504 plans and those seen for mental health concerns.

Group Trauma-Informed Practices:

• Develop and implement group lessons and support sessions to address trauma and promote social-emotional learning for all students.
• Collaborate with staff members to push into classrooms and deliver whole-group support lessons.

Community Engagement:

• Participate in all district staff activities, including new staff orientations, to integrate social work practices across the school.
• Be a visible and supportive presence in the school community by greeting students and ensuring a welcoming environment throughout the day.

Collaboration:

• Work closely with fellow social workers in the district to share best practices and ensure a cohesive approach to student support.

Qualifications

• Master’s (MSW) or Doctoral degree in Social Work.
• Illinois PEL with an endorsement in Social Work.
• Previous experience with Elementary students is preferred but not required.

• Experience & Skills:
• Prior experience in a school setting working with children, especially within diverse communities.
• Demonstrated expertise in trauma-informed practices and group facilitation.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work independently with a strong drive and initiative in planning and implementing group lessons.
• Spanish-speaking abilities are a significant asset, with a passion for working with diverse cultures.
