Job Description
We are seeking a compound management and lab operations associate for our Cambridge site to support our cutting-edge platform technology by maintaining and distributing our compound library and managing lab operations.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the lifecycle of our internal compound library (building blocks, singletons, and pooled libraries), including registration, storage, and distribution.
- Fulfillment of internal and external compound requests in a timely manner to support all discovery projects. This includes weighing solid material, creating stock solutions and aliquots, preparing sample plates, and readying compound samples for shipment.
- Utilize inventory management systems and electronic lab notebooks (ELNs) to track compound metadata, quantities, and usage.
- Manage day-to-day lab operations, including ordering supplies, equipment maintenance, and general lab organization.
- Collaborate with vendors and service providers to schedule routine equipment calibrations and repairs.
- Coordinate domestic and international shipments of chemical and biological samples to external partners.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a related scientific discipline.
- 2+ years of experience in lab operations, compound management, or a related role within the biotech or pharmaceutical industry.
- Proficiency with compound management databases, ELNs, and inventory tracking software (e.g., CDD, Mosaic, or similar systems).
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent written, organizational, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with automated liquid handling systems or sample storage robotics.
- Prior experience in a biotech startup environment.
