Senior Rigging Artist

Position Overview
We are a new gaming studio working on a new, cooperative multiplayer IP for PC. We're making a fresh take on the ARPG genre with an emphasis on thrilling combat, meaningful cooperative/competitive play, and a truly enjoyable gameplay experience! 

We are seeking a talented Senior Rigging Artist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in character rigging and will be responsible for creating high-quality rigging solutions for a variety of characters and assets in Unreal Engine. This role requires a strong understanding of both technical and artistic aspects of rigging, ensuring that all character movements are fluid and lifelike.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement character rigs for 3D models in Unreal Engine.
• Collaborate with animators and artists to ensure optimal rigging solutions for character movement and performance.
• Evolve our rigging/skinning pipelines including the creation of hair, face, and cloth simulations.
• Troubleshoot and resolve any rigging issues that may arise during production.
• Maintain and update existing rigs for character customization and modifications.
• Create technical documentation for rigging processes and best practices.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Rigging Artist in the gaming or animation industry.
• Strong proficiency in rigging techniques and tools, specifically within Unreal Engine.
• Solid understanding of anatomy and character motion for realistic rigging.
• Familiarity with hard surface modeling, 3D modeling, and color theory is a plus.
• Experience with Python scripting and automation in rigging workflows is preferred.
