Job Summary:

Our client is seeking a Senior Server Engineer to join their team! This position is located in Celebration, Florida.

Duties:

• Conduct initial assessment DCL Server Infrastructure and VMware environments to identify configuration gaps, performance issues, and opportunities for improvement
• Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation, including topology diagrams, configuration guides, all connectivity areas and operational procedures
• Ensure all documentation aligns with compliance and operational standards, including password security
• Organize and deliver cross-training workshops and knowledge transfer sessions for team members on key areas as directed
• Create training materials and facilitate sessions
• Provide Tier 3 support for server-related incidents and escalations
• Work closely with network, engineering, and application teams to ensure seamless operations
• Participate in capacity planning and disaster recovery exercises
• Deploy, upgrade, and manage VMware vSphere 8.x environments, including vCenter, ESXi hosts, vSAN, and vSphere Distributed Switches (VDS)
• Design and maintain logical and physical topologies, VLANs, and port mappings
• Implement and manage Cisco Intersight Virtual Appliance and UCS 6400/6454 Fabric Interconnects and X-Series servers

Desired Skills/Experience:

• Strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Linux, AWS, and GCP
• Solid understanding of DNS, web servers, and general infrastructure components
• Familiarity with Akamai or ability to quickly learn similar CDN technologies
• Experience using Ansible for automation and configuration management
• Background in Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), including experience with monitoring and observability tools such as AppDynamics, Log Insight, and Grafana
• Knowledge of Kafka and experience building or managing custom Kafka wrappers
• Exposure to DroneDeploy or similar UAS data processing platforms is a plus

The approximate pay range for this position is between $59.00 and $85.00 . Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to background, knowledge, skills, and location. We comply with local wage minimums.
