Extension is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for a Direct Hire opportunity with one of our clients located in Pewaukee, WI.

Key Objectives / Role Responsibilities
- Contribute to both new feature development and maintenance for a large-scale, FDA-regulated software codebase
- Develop, test, and maintain software solutions while following secure coding practices and compliance requirements.
- Collaborate with engineers, data scientists, and QA teams to deliver high-quality, reliable products.
- Participate in design documentation, code reviews, testing, and traceability reporting.
- Support annual product updates, including occasional extended hours and weekend work (~6 weeks).
Desired Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
- 7+ years of professional software development experience.
- Strong Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) and UI design skills.
- Proficiency in Python, C++, or Java.
- Experience with AI/ML frameworks (e.g., PyTorch).
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and distributed systems.
- Preferred experience in regulated industries (FDA, HIPAA, GDPR).
- Pluses:
- Java-J2SE or Java Swing
- 3D visualization or image processing
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
Salary Information
- $97,000 – $115,000 annually (based on experience)
Schedule: Primarily standard business hours with flexibility during annual product releases.
