Job Summary:
The Spanish Tutors tutor students at all levels of Spanish language study, but work primarily with first and second-year language students in one-on-one oral assignments.
Job Duties:
* Conduct one-on-one oral practice assignments with first and second year Spanish students
* Basic record keeping of oral assignments
* Offer walk-in or Zoom-based tutoring service during posted hours
* Proctoring exams
* Administering the Spanish Placement Exam during new student orientations
* Maintaining and posting available hours
* Maintain confidentiality
* Other duties as necessary or assigned.
Required Qualifications:
* Must be a current CSS student
* Very high proficiency in Spanish is required
* Strong organizational and time management skills required.
* Job functions require sitting during shift.
* Professional presence to represent the College to the public required.
* Ability to perform all of the above functions during an assigned workday without significant risk of injury.
* Good attendance is required.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Very high proficiency in Spanish is required. Native speakers of English should have completed SPN 3102 or an equivalent course.
* Strong organizational and time management skills required, especially keeping records of students helped.
* Good attendance is mandatory.
* Good interpersonal skills.
