Job Description
Solü is currently seeking a SQL Server DBA to join our client’s team. The SQL Server DBA will oversee the maintenance, configuration, and optimization of critical Microsoft SQL Server environments supporting a wide range of in-house applications and third-party tools. This position is ideal for a collaborative, detail-oriented professional with strong technical and troubleshooting skills.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain SQL Server implementations across development, testing, and production environments.
- Ensure high data integrity, availability, and recoverability through effective backup and recovery processes.
- Diagnose and resolve real-time database issues with end-to-end problem resolution.
- Automate recurring database tasks, track issues, and maintain thorough documentation.
- Participate in 24x7 support for production systems, including on-call rotation.
- Perform routine maintenance, including the application of cumulative updates (CUs) and hotfixes during off-hours.
- Support SQL Server environments used in conjunction with MS Dynamics CRM, SharePoint, and Team Foundation Server (TFS).
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in an IT-related field.
- Minimum of one (1) year of professional IT experience involving database analysis, design, and maintenance.
- 3+ years of hands-on Microsoft SQL Server administration experience.
- Strong knowledge of backup, restore, and recovery models.
- Proficiency in T-SQL scripting and query optimization.
- Experience with High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) solutions.
- Working experience with SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) and SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS).
- Performance tuning and optimization (PTO) using native monitoring tools.
- Experience supporting SQL Server environments integrated with: Microsoft Dynamics CRM, SharePoint, Team Foundation Server (TFS).
- Familiarity with Business Intelligence Studio (BIS) for Visual Studio.
- Windows Server administration experience.
- VMware vSphere experience.
