Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Epic Application Support Specialist to join our team. This role focuses on providing advanced support and expertise in Epic applications, particularly Healthy Planet. The ideal candidate is a problem solver with a passion for healthcare technology and a willingness to mentor others.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide Advanced Epic Support: Offer expert support for complex Epic application issues, ensuring efficient resolution and system optimization.
Create Documentation & Specifications: Write clear, thorough documentation and develop detailed specifications to guide system enhancements and modifications.
Analyze & Propose Solutions: Conduct in-depth research and analysis, offering well-considered solutions and recommendations for system improvements. This includes building, configuring, or modifying applications using available tools.
Ensure Application Integration: Maintain a comprehensive understanding of application integration and data flow across various systems.
Mentorship & Leadership: Serve as an informal leader within the team, actively mentoring and guiding colleagues as needed.
Qualifications:
Education & Experience:
High School Diploma with a minimum of 7 years of experience in a healthcare or information systems (IS) field, OR
Bachelor's Degree with at least 3 years of relevant experience in a healthcare or IS-related role.
Certification: Epic Healthy Planet Certification is required.
Technical Expertise: Strong experience in multi-application integration, system inter-dependencies, and familiarity with cross-disciplinary healthcare processes and workflows.
