Duties and responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • This is a multifaceted role where you’ll be performing the many essential functions of an IT department, for a small (but growing) company.

  • We’re looking for a talented IT Generalist who enjoys working with many different technologies. Must have recent experience working for a small-to-midsize business, in a wear-many-hats IT administrator role.

  • This is a hybrid role - you can work remotely most days, but will be required to work at our Las Colinas office as needed, given your role is supporting the office network and users.

  • Setup, configuration, and support of Apple Macbook laptops, for a hybrid workforce of approximately 70 remote and/or on-site end users.

  • Administration of our Macbook device management platform, endpoint security software, and patch management / deployment.

  • Administration, maintenance and support of the office Cisco Meraki network, Microsoft Active Directory Services, Microsoft Remote Desktop Servers, helpdesk ticketing system, and other associated IT software and SaaS services.

  • Administration and support of our Google Workspace Enterprise suite, along with various other business applications.

  • Manage user accounts and access control across a host of systems and applications.

  • Participate in other tasks, projects and challenges, as part of a small IT & Security team.

Requirements

We’re looking for a Senior IT Systems Administrator & Support Engineer who’s passionate about using technology to help the most vulnerable. You’re someone who believes the right data can help build better one-to-one relationships with communities in need of extra support. You have expertise and experience in the following areas:

  • Administering and supporting Apple Macbook laptops, along with an enterprise MacOS Device Management platform, such as JumpCloud.

  • Microsoft Windows Server services, specifically including Active Directory, DNS, GPO, and Remote Desktop services.

  • Administering Google Workspace, with expertise in the enterprise file sharing, security, and email features of the product.

  • Endpoint security tools, such as anti-malware software, remote access VPN clients, DNS filters, and two-factor authentication.

  • Office LAN/WAN technologies, routers/switches, wireless access points, and ISP connectivity.

  • Network protocols and services including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, SMTP, NPS/RADIUS, WPA2 Enterprise.

  • Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to solve problems you’ve never seen before.

  • Great written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to support and communicate effectively with non-technical end-users.

  • Possess an “ownership mentality” of the work you do - be someone who thrives in a results-driven environment where you’ll often work autonomously with little supervision.

Preferences

  • Experience in the healthcare industry and knowledge of HIPAA as it relates to IT administration.

  • Expertise in administering firewall and VPN appliances.

  • Experience administering servers in a cloud environment, such as AWS or Azure.

  • Experience with identity and access management solutions, such as administering a cloud-based SSO portal, for SAML-based authentication of business applications.

  • Expertise with mail servers or SaaS-based email platforms, including troubleshooting email routing & delivery, as well as email security, encryption, and spam filtering technologies.

  • Experience with patch management and patch deployment for laptops and servers.

  • Expertise with Cisco Meraki switches and Wireless Access Points.

  • Knowledge of Atlassian Confluence and Jira.

Education & Certifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related field from an accredited university.

  • Information Technology certifications from vendors such as Microsoft, Cisco, Google, and/or from recognized vendor-neutral sources such as CompTIA.

  • An equivalent combination of education, IT certifications, and work experience may be considered.
