As a client-facing Strategic Finance and FP&A Associate, you will work closely with startups, small and medium-sized businesses, and middle-market firms. Your responsibilities will include creating monthly, quarterly, and annual financial models, reporting packages, and cash flow analyses. You will also provide comprehensive support for various strategic finance initiatives. Your work will involve extensive use of Excel, deep dives into financial data, and trend analysis to uncover insights and build narratives for the periods under review.
You will have the opportunity to work with a variety of clients and industries, mentored by experienced financial leaders. This role will challenge and expand your skill set, offering exciting opportunities for growth.
**Detailed Responsibilities**
- Assist in creating key reporting packages for client management on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis, adhering to deadlines and statutory requirements.
- Support ongoing cash flow and cash management tasks.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive strategic projects and process improvements.
- Assist with forecasting and develop growth plans.
- Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs), analyze results, and report to company leaders and investors.
- Develop client materials for key financial initiatives such as Series A, Series B, Pre-IPO, etc.
- Other duties as assigned.
**Qualifications**
We are seeking a financial planning and analysis enthusiast with a bachelor's degree in finance or accounting and 3+ years of relevant financial experience. Public and private equity experience is a plus.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Experience in P&L management, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis.
- Advanced Excel skills, including complex spreadsheet and financial modeling capabilities.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex issues clearly and concisely.
- Collaborative work style to drive cross-functional business goals.
- Ability to interpret qualitative and quantitative analysis results and develop actionable insights and recommendations.
- Capacity to manage multiple client engagements simultaneously.
- Mature presence, empathy, intellectual curiosity, and quick learning ability.
- Strong problem-solving and project management skills.
- Ability to maintain quality under aggressive deadlines, changing priorities, and evolving operations.
- Comfort with remote work and the ability to work autonomously and collaborate virtually.
