Job Title: Structural Steel Estimator

Location: Salt Lake City, UT

Salary: $110,000 - $130,000

Core Function of the Position:

This position plays a critical role in the success of our projects by providing accurate and competitive cost estimates for structural steel fabrication and construction. This position requires a detail-oriented professional with a strong understanding of steel fabrication processes, materials, and project management.

Responsibilities:

• Analyze project blueprints, specifications, and other documentation to prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for structural steel fabrication and installation.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to clarify project requirements and ensure estimates meet all technical and budgetary needs.
• Source and evaluate material costs, labor rates, and equipment expenses to develop competitive and comprehensive project bids.
• Utilize estimating software and tools to streamline the estimation process and maintain a database of historical cost data for future reference.
• Participate in pre-bid meetings, site visits, and post-bid reviews to ensure alignment between estimates and project execution.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Structural Steel Estimator or in a similar role within the steel fabrication industry.
• Strong knowledge of structural steel fabrication processes, materials, and industry standards.
• Proficiency in estimating software and tools, as well as Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Excellent analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
