Now Hiring: Summer Camp Staff at Bigfork ACES (Full & Part-Time)📍 Bigfork, MT | 🗓️ June 10 – August 8, 2025 | ⏰ Monday–Friday, Two Daily Shifts
Bigfork ACES is seeking motivated, responsible, and compassionate individuals to join our team as Camp Counselors for our 2025 Summer Program. If you’re passionate about working with children and want to make a meaningful impact in a fun, energetic environment, we encourage you to apply.
About the Role As a Camp Counselor, you'll play a vital role in creating a safe, engaging, and positive experience for the children in our care. You will lead activities, supervise campers, support daily routines, and contribute to a collaborative team environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and engage children during camp activities, including field trips and outdoor play
- Oversee mealtimes in the cafeteria and promote respectful behavior
- Implement camp programming as provided, ensuring a balance of fun and structure
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment
- Uphold all safety protocols, behavior guidelines, and program policies
- Complete daily cleaning duties and assist with general facility upkeep
- Collaborate with fellow staff and check in with the Program Director for additional tasks
Schedule & Availability Our summer program operates Monday–Friday from June 10 to August 8, 2025 , with two shift options:
FULL TIME SHIFTS:
- Opening Shift : 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM
- Closing Shift : 8:30 PM – 5:30 PM
PART TIME SHIFTS:
- Morning Shift: 7:15 AM – 12:15 PM
- Afternoon Shift: 12 PM – 5:30 PM
We are hiring for:
- Full-time and part-time Camp Counselors
- Junior Staff (under 18) and Senior Staff (18+)
- One part-time kitchen staff position
Qualifications - Preffered experience in child-focused roles (e.g., camp counselor, after-school staff, teacher, paraeducator, aide, babysitter, nanny, or similar)
- Strong understanding of child development and behavior management
- Ability to create a positive, inclusive, and safe environment
- Calm, friendly, and professional demeanor under pressure
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Strong organizational skills with attention to cleanliness and detail
- Physical ability to lift up to 40 pounds and perform duties described
- Must pass a criminal background check
- Valid driver’s license preferred for senior staff
- CPR Certification ideal, but willing to train the right candidate
Work Environment & Physical Demands - Frequent walking, standing, talking, and listening
- Occasional bending, kneeling, lifting, or reaching
- Regular exposure to outdoor weather (heat, humidity, rain)
- Moderate noise level in the environment
