Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented, organized, and tech-savvy Temporary Contractor to support business operations for our Torrance ministry. This high-volume role will focus on equipment, device, and supply procurement and management, acting as a primary point of contact for caregivers to ensure timely resolution of operational concerns.
Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of equipment, device, and supply procurement and distribution (including patient supplies and IT equipment for staff and caregivers).
- Oversee ordering, tracking, receiving, and distribution of equipment across three locations.
- Coordinate off-site delivery of medical supplies throughout Southern California; source non-allocated supplies as needed.
- Serve as backup for caregiver supply fulfillment.
- Communicate effectively with caregivers and leadership to coordinate business needs.
- Serve as primary point of contact for supply/equipment questions; host twice-monthly two-hour support sessions for caregivers.
- Maintain emergency equipment inventory and par levels to meet operational demands.
- Ensure supplies are approved for use, including COVID-19 compliance requirements.
Requirements
- Experience in medical supply, healthcare, or related field preferred.
- Excellent customer service and organizational skills.
- Technology-friendly and comfortable navigating multiple systems.
- Ability to manage multiple responsibilities in a high-stress, high-volume environment.
- Reliable car, valid driver’s license, good driving record, and insurance (driving is rare; reimbursed at IRS standard mileage rate $0.67/mile).
Nice to Have
- Prior experience in home health or intake processes.
- Ability to adapt quickly and work autonomously.
Schedule
- Monday – Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM.
- Primarily based at Torrance location; occasional reimbursed driving as needed.
