Position Summary The Supply Chain Manager is a key leadership role responsible for managing and optimizing the hospital's supply chain functions. This includes overseeing procurement, inventory management, logistics, and courier services. The ideal candidate will have a strong focus on continuous improvement, strategic planning, and developing robust relationships with clinical leaders to support the hospital's mission of delivering excellent patient care.
Key Responsibilities - Procurement:
- Develop and implement procurement strategies to ensure timely and cost-effective acquisition of supplies and equipment.
- Negotiate contracts with suppliers and vendors to secure advantageous terms.
- Monitor and manage supplier performance, addressing any issues promptly to ensure continuity of supply.
- Inventory Management & Logistics:
- Oversee inventory control procedures to maintain optimal stock levels and reduce waste.
- Implement and manage inventory tracking systems to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
- Conduct regular audits and analyze data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Coordinate logistics operations to ensure the timely and efficient distribution of supplies to all hospital sites.
- Monitor and manage logistics performance metrics with a focus of continuous improvement.
- Courier Services:
- Manage the hospital's courier services to ensure reliable and timely delivery of critical supplies and documents.
- Optimize courier routes and schedules to enhance efficiency and service quality.
- Ensure compliance with safety and security protocols in the handling and transportation of materials.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance supply chain processes and performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement best practices.
- Utilize data-driven approaches to drive innovation and operational excellence.
- Relationship Building:
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clinical leaders and key stakeholders across the organization.
- Collaborate with clinical departments to understand their supply needs and provide tailored solutions.
- Act as a liaison between the supply chain team and clinical staff, ensuring clear communication and alignment of goals.
Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field, or a minimum of 5 years of experience in supply chain management, preferably in a healthcare setting.
- Proven track record of successful procurement, inventory management, and logistics operations.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on continuous improvement.
- Excellent negotiation and contract management skills.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships.
- Proficiency in supply chain management software and tools.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements and best practices in healthcare supply chain management.
