Sales Manager

Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sales Manager to lead our Motion Control and Mechatronics -Focused technology, distributor and manufacturer's representative sales team. This role will involve overseeing sales engineers of other territories, coordinating with application engineers, and directly running and growing the Central PA Sales Region.

You will play a key role in driving sales growth, ensuring excellent customer relationships, and developing strategic sales initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and mentor sales teams, consisting of sales engineers and inside sales representatives, for both distributor and manufacturer's representative divisions.
  • Develop and implement sales strategies that align with company and vendor objectives.
  • Establish sales goals, track performance, and provide coaching and guidance to sales engineers.
  • Oversee and manage sales pipelines, ensuring timely follow-through on opportunities and accurate forecasting.
  • Collaborate with application engineers, accounting, and other internal teams to ensure efficient operations and customer satisfaction.
  • Prepare and review sales reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual sales progress, and use these insights to adjust sales strategies.
  • Maintain an up-to-date CRM system, ensuring opportunities are recorded and action items are followed through.
  • Develop and execute yearly sales plans, setting clear sales and profit goals for the sales team.
  • Work closely with customers to build and maintain strong relationships, address concerns, and ensure satisfaction.
  • Manage pricing strategies and ensure alignment with company profit objectives.
  • Coordinate with vendors to maintain effective working relationships, share sales forecasting data, and ensure training and product updates are provided.
  • Assist in the hiring, onboarding, and training of new sales engineers.
  • Ensure compliance with customer requirements and confidentiality agreements.
  • Travel within the designated sales territory as needed.
  • Work collaboratively with internal marketing teams to maintain and enhance the company's digital presence, including website content, social media, and newsletters.

Qualifications:

  • MUST HAVE: At least 5 years selling Motion Controls and Mechatronics technologies to machine builders in the industrial automation marketplace
  • Experience in managing or mentoring sales engineers
  • Extensive knowledge of electro-mechanical products and solutions, including motion control, robotics, actuators, gearboxes, and related technologies.
  • Proven ability to develop and execute sales strategies, set targets, and achieve results.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with internal teams, customers, and vendors.
  • Experience with CRM systems and maintaining accurate sales records.
  • Ability to travel within the designated territory as required.
  • U.S. Citizenship required.
  • Acceptance of confidentiality and non-disclosure agreements as part of the employment agreement.
