Job Description

Responsibilities:

Position Summary:   

Responsible for coordinating and monitoring supply chain operations, ensuring efficiency and accuracy in the movement of goods. Pending local and federal agencies container inspections. Point of contact between ports, maritime steamship lines, trucking company, warehouse, customer service and purchasing department. Maintaining and monitoring arrival notices, port to port movements and discharge plans. Keeps the lowest levels on demurrage and detention charges and maintains records of container transactions, FTZ administrator.  

 

Position Responsibilities may include, but not limited to:  

  • Prepare Daily Discharge plans for Warehouse and Purchasing Team as per priority and customer needs  

  • In charge of SURI, Levanta clearances  

  • FTZ Administrator- Review Admissions, Withdrawals for consumptions and manipulation, destructions and or removals  

  • Ensure all FTZ reports are completed weekly, monthly quarterly  

  • Validate FTZ data against actual documentation as needed to ensure accuracy of integration and information  

  • Interact with Customs and Border Protection when necessary  

  • In / Out Container from and to port movements (Full and Empty) 

  • Local and Federal Agency Inspections coordination and notices to the staff  

  • Demurrage and detentions billing management  

  • Performs shipment tracking and tracing to anticipate/communicate potential delays issues that may affect service levels  

  • Oversee and prepare all import documentation required from Customs clearances  

  • Continuously communication with carriers, customs, agents, Atec, warehouse, trucking companies and all others involved  

  • Responsible on follow up for daily yard inventory list  

  • Any other projects or duties as assigned.  

Qualifications:

Required Skills and Experience:  

  • High school diploma and 1-2+ years of related experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient in English (speaking/writing) 
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills 
  • Detail-oriented, conscientious, and able to work independently 
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills 
  • Proven ability to multi-task effectively and produce accurate, timely results in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment 
  • Consistently demonstrate a positive approach, team-player attitude, and professional demeanor 
  • Ability to be productive working independently or as part of a team
  • Willing to work any shift and any schedule due to our 24/7 environment
  • This position must pass a post-offer background and drug test

Preferred Skills and Experience:  

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience 2-4 years of related inventory or warehouse experience
  • 1-2 years current office experience 
  • Distribution experience
  • Knowledge in JDE/Oracle
