Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct drilling, blasting, remote mucking, and bolting operations.
- Accurately calculate and place explosives to achieve operational objectives.
- Complete pre-shift safety inspections for all machinery prior to use.
- Record shift data using the operator app during your shift.
- Monitor and manage inventory levels.
- Safely handle and transport explosives within the mine site.
- Perform routine preventative maintenance on mining equipment.
- Support additional tasks as required.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED.
- 5+ years of experience in underground hard rock mining.
- Proficient in operating bolters, jumbos, and jacklegs safely.
- Experience with Sandvik DS411 is highly preferred, though expertise with other equipment may be considered.
- Familiarity with mining in areas with stressed ground conditions.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to assist in training other team members on equipment operation.
- Willingness to work rotational shifts, including both day and night shifts.
