Manual Machinist – Vertical Boring Mill Operator

Location: Portland, OR

Shift: Day Shift

We are seeking a skilled Manual Machinist with expertise in operating large vertical boring mills and other manual shop equipment. This role is ideal for an experienced machinist who enjoys hands-on work with heavy industrial components. Please note this is not a CNC operator position .

Key Responsibilities

• Operate large manual vertical boring mills and additional manual machine shop equipment.
• Apply machining procedures across a variety of materials including mild steel, alloy steel, stainless steel, and cast iron.
• Ensure precision and quality in machining for critical heavy industrial applications.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience operating large manual machine tools.
• Strong knowledge of machining practices and material properties.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a production environment.
