This role reports to the President.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage & Mentor:
Inspire and lead a fully remote, high-performing team of digital marketers, creatives, strategists, and freelancers.
Advocate for the team's needs and manage resources to ensure ambitious marketing goals are met.
Set clear goals and objectives, track progress, and hold the team accountable.
Foster a culture of growth through mentorship and constructive feedback, creating developmental opportunities.
Lead Marketing Production & Processes:
Establish and implement best practices to improve marketing production efficiencies.
Build and manage budgets, marketing production costs, and team resources.
Focus on developing a growth strategy for the brand, continuously refining marketing efforts based on business and fundraising goals.
Create plans and scopes of work with clear ROI metrics.
Lead Brand & Program Marketing:
Create and execute highly creative, digital-first marketing initiatives, focusing on health education, community-building, destigmatization, and fundraising.
Develop strategic decks and briefs to align cross-functional teams.
Guide brand strategy, experiential design, and marketing for programs and events in collaboration with key stakeholders.
Implement Data-Driven Insights:
Lead the development of marketing initiatives based on data and community insights.
Build a market research strategy that supports customer segmentation and drives best practices such as A/B testing and social insights.
Lead with an analytical mindset to optimize marketing performance.
Drive Proactive Communication & Collaboration:
Foster alignment and collaboration across the organization, ensuring cross-functional business and marketing strategies work seamlessly together.
Demonstrate strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills in a collaborative, respectful environment.
Manage ambitious marketing priorities while mentoring the team.
Desired Qualifications:
5-8 years of experience managing a marketing team with a proven track record of building a brand and executing successful campaigns.
Extensive experience in developing creative concepts, strategic plans, and delivering measurable results in digital-first, high-performing environments.
Creative vision to reimagine nonprofit marketing with a fresh, contemporary approach.
Strong social and emotional intelligence, fostering collaboration, empathetic communication, and relationship-building with diverse teams and stakeholders.
Familiarity with digital marketing, including social media, email, and video content.
Experience with data analytics and marketing measurement.
A strong creative network to produce compelling, digital-first content.
A commitment to diversity, inclusion, and cultural understanding.
A portfolio of successful campaigns showcasing creativity, strategy, and impact.
Experience in international marketing is a plus.
Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred.
A deep commitment to continuing diabetes education and knowledge of the diabetes space is preferred.
