Important skills:
Master at: WAF. Must have strong Akamai or CloudFlare. Other skills: Proxies, Zscaler, Squid Proxies, Reverse Proxies, Palo Firewalls, IDS/IPS, F5 DDOS, SilverLine
Key Responsibilities:
WAF Management: Configure, manage, and optimize Akamai and CloudFlare WAF solutions to protect web applications from security threats.
Migration Support: Facilitate the migration of application URLs between the same WAF solutions in different tenants, ensuring minimal downtime and seamless transition.
Documentation: Develop and maintain detailed documentation, including runbooks and troubleshooting guides, to support WAF operations and incident response.
Troubleshooting: Provide expert-level troubleshooting and support for WAF-related issues, ensuring quick resolution and minimal impact on business operations.
Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including IT, security, and development, to ensure WAF configurations align with business and security requirements.
Training: Conduct training sessions and knowledge transfer activities to upskill team members on WAF best practices and operational procedures.
Qualifications:
Experience: Proven experience as a WAF SME, with proficiency in Akamai and CloudFlare WAF solutions.
Technical Skills: Strong understanding of web application security principles, WAF configurations, and migration processes.
Documentation Skills: Excellent ability to create clear, concise, and comprehensive documentation, runbooks, and troubleshooting guides.
Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex WAF issues.
Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
Team Player: Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
